Who

I’m Zaid, an ethical hacker and self-taught indie software developer from Mumbai, where I still reside.

Driven by curiosity, I’ve always enjoyed creating, exploring new ideas, and continuously seeking knowledge.

With a strong appreciation for good design and polished experiences, I consider myself a indie maker at heart.

Open-minded, I learn from my mistakes and avoid prejudices, finding opposing views fascinating rather than threatening.

As an extroverted introvert, I enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places but recharge my energy at home.

I prefer simplicity in both work and life, often reflected in my creative output.

What

I love turning ideas into reality—making things. Nowadays, I spend my time working at ControlCase, a cybersecurity company, and building indie projects.

I work as a VAPT Intern at ControlCase (opens in new tab) where I’m in charge of conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

I’m working on a startup called Skinvincible that helps people diagnose skin conditions using AI.

You can read more about what I’m up to right now on my now page.

Why

I’ve always been deeply curious about learning and creating. For as long as I can remember, I’ve found immense joy in reading, solving puzzles, drawing, and tackling the Rubik’s Cube—anything that sparks creativity.

Since writing my first lines of code in 2019 at the age of 15, my primary creative outlet has been through software projects, including apps, websites, and tools.

In recent years, I've come to appreciate simplicity in my work, and I admire the contributions of people like Steve Jobs and Dieter Rams.

This drive for simplicity may also be influenced by my Indian heritage, where minimalism is more than just a design preference.

Combining my need for innovation with my pursuit of simple perfection, I’ve discovered a passion for software tinkering.

On my someday page, you can learn more about my long-term life goals.
