Someday

Updated

Someday, I would like to work for the sheer joy of the craft, rather than for financial gain

I enjoy experimenting with small independent apps, websites, and projects without focusing on their financial prospects or scalability.

While I appreciate collaborating on exciting projects, I aspire to diminish the number of hours I work, or possibly transition to seasonal work.

I'm profoundly thankful for the opportunity to pursue my passions in my current full-time role—a privilege not everyone enjoys.

Yet, there's a unique appeal in choosing daily whether to work based on what inspires you. To me, that represents true freedom.

For many, such freedom comes only with retirement, generally around 65 or older. I aim to achieve this "retirement" much sooner, which leads me to my next thought...

Someday, I would like to achieve financial independence

My goal isn't richness but wealth—not to splurge on luxury or expensive holidays, but to devote time to life's essentials: family, friends, enriching experiences, and purposeful work.

Achieving this means reaching a point where financial considerations don't dictate my choices, supported by a passive income that meets my living costs.

Initiated in my early twenties in 2022, I'm committed to this path, though it’s long. I may share more about this journey eventually.

Someday, I no longer want to worry about "making it"

I keep my LinkedIn active mainly due to the fear of missing potential job opportunities, despite not currently seeking new roles. As long as financial necessity exists, I feel compelled to maintain this connection.

Similarly, while my Twitter account helps promote my indie apps, increasing my revenue, it also binds me to social media more than I prefer, making me feel entrapped. I despise this feeling.

Once financially stable, I anticipate the vanishing of my professional growth needs and the subsequent freedom to create purely for pleasure.

I'll then aim to preserve only the social aspects of social media, limiting my online footprint to my personal website and email—a true aspiration.

Someday, I would like to create a family home

Home design and architecture have always captivated me, leading me to dream of constructing a family house. The location remains undecided, making this an exciting next step for our future planning.
